Conflict Minerals 2021 Report
Lockheed Martin is committed to the responsible sourcing of materials for our products, including the sourcing of Conflict Minerals, and we depend on our complex, multi-tiered supply chain for insight into sources of raw materials. Lockheed Martin’s Conflict Minerals program recently completed the annual filing with the SEC of our Conflict Minerals Report. This report covering calendar year 2021 was created by surveying over 1,200 of our self-declared manufacturer suppliers and performing analysis on the responses received.
Our Supplier Code of Conduct includes our expectations that suppliers take steps to determine if their products contain Conflict Minerals and if so, implement supply chain due diligence processes to identify sources of these minerals and support efforts to eradicate the use of Conflict Minerals which directly or indirectly finance or benefit armed groups in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and its nine adjoining countries.
We support smelter efforts with financial and human capital industry-wide initiatives, including the Responsible Minerals Initiative (RMI) which assists with our benchmarking and smelter analysis efforts.
