LM Aeronautics Employees Honored With Hispanic Engineer and Women of Color Technology Awards
FORT WORTH, TX, 06-NOV-01 -- Three Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company employees were honored Oct. 13 with the 2001 Hispanic Engineer Awards and the Women of Color Technology Awards. Enrique Henry Gomez received the Hispanic Engineer Pioneer Award; Dr. H. Mei Graham received the Women of Color Research Leadership Award; and Sara M. Gutierrez was honored with the Women of Color Career Achievement Award.
We are extremely proud of these employees and their accomplishments, said Juanita Nevels, equal opportunity programs for Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company. They are outstanding representatives of the talent that is resident at Lockheed Martin.
Gomez received the Pioneer Award for his professional achievements in marketing the F-16 fighter aircraft. He is a director of Business Development Analysis at Lockheed Martin Aeronautics, where his most recent accomplishment was a precedent-setting effort to change a 20-year-old U.S. government arms-transfer policy to Latin America.
Dr. Graham won the national Women of Color Technology Award in the Leadership category for her technological achievements at Lockheed Martin Aeronautics. She is a staff physicist with the company, where she is lead for infrared characterization of low-observable materials.
Gutierrez won national honors in the Career Achievement category for her critical roles with the company. She is a team lead for Joint Strike Fighter Support Systems, and she leads critical program and company initiatives in support of the program.
The Hispanic Engineer National Achievement Award was presented Oct. 13, 2001 in El Paso, Texas. The Women of Color Technology Awards were presented the same day in Atlanta, Ga.
