LOCKHEED MARTIN WINS IT CONTRACT WITH U.S. JOINT FORCES COMMAND
SEABROOK, Md., 08/31/2007 -- Lockheed Martin Corporation [NYSE: LMT] has been selected by the U.S. Joint Forces Command to provide Information Technology services under the new Information Systems Support Services contract, with a ceiling of $35.3 million for the first year and an estimated total of more than $186 million over five years.
Information Systems Support Services is an indefinite-delivery-indefinite-quantity (IDIQ), cost plus fixed fee contract established by the U.S. Joint Forces Command, under which task orders will be issued. The contract has a one-year base and four additional one-year option periods. Work is expected to begin on Oct. 5, 2007.
The Information Systems Support Services contract was designed to provide the Joint Forces Command with mission support through the planning, design, development, integration, installation, production engineering, and operations their Information Technology. Services to be provided under the contract will include support for network operations and systems, customer training, video teleconferencing, and database development and administration. .

Work will occur primarily at the command's Norfolk and Suffolk facilities as well as support at Joint Personnel Recovery Agency facilities at Ft. Belvoir, Va. and Fairchild Air Force Base, Wash., and the command's liaison officers at the Pentagon and in Washington, D.C.
U.S. Joint Forces Command (USJFCOM) is one of DoD's nine combatant commands and has several key roles in transforming the U.S. military's capabilities. Headquartered in the Hampton Roads area, Va., the command oversees a force of more than 1.16 million dedicated men and women, spanning USJFCOM's service component commands and subordinate activities.
