Lockheed Martin Cyber Security System Added to List of Accredited Cross-Domain Solutions

PHOENIX, 10/11/2010 --

Lockheed Martin [NYSE: LMT] announced that its Trusted Manager system, a secure Multi-Level Information Sharing technology used by the Department of Defense, has been added to the Unified Cross Domain Management Office's (UCDMO) baseline list of cross-domain solutions. This directory lists the accredited systems that provide the ability to transfer Department of Defense and Intelligence Community information between multiple security domains.

"Trusted Manager bridges a critical gap in intelligence sharing," said Jim Quinn, vice president with Lockheed Martin's Information Systems & Global Solutions-Defense. "We will continue to evolve the system to ensure that it supports the needs of the warfighter."

Trusted Manager, or TMAN II, is a high assurance information guard that allows data to be manually and/or automatically transferred between two or more differing security domains. This cyber security system incorporates a suite of trusted network-encryption technologies that "guards" classified and sensitive data from unauthorized access while simultaneously protecting networks from intended/unintended corruption by ‘malicious' or hidden code. This enables users with top secret, secret and no security clearances to securely share information

The UCDMO is a joint Department of Defense and Intelligence Community organization that provides centralized coordination and oversight of cross-domain initiatives across these communities. The baseline details cross-domain technologies that are currently operational, have a government sponsor, and a minimum three-year life-cycle support agreement.
