Supply Chain Management (SCM) Supports F-35s in the Field
Supply Chain Management Value Stream Team (VST) provided NAS Patuxent River and Edwards AFB with 54 Aircraft Mission Capable (MICAPs) parts and shipped 37 repairable assets back to suppliers for repair July 28 - August 3.

US Marine Corps Commandant Witnesses F-35B STOVL Flexibility
On July 29, General James Amos, US Marine Corps Commandant, and members of the national media, experienced the versatility of the F-35 Short Take-off and Vertical Landing (STOVL) at NAS Patuxent River. Other attendees included Robert Stevens, Chairman and CEO of Lockheed Martin General, Vice Adm. Venlet, Program Executive Officer (PEO) JSF, Vice Adm. Architzel, Naval Air Systems Command, U.S. Marine Corps Lt. General Robling, Dep. Commandant Aviation. The esteemed group witnessed a maximum short take-off, a 60-knot slow fly-by and a vertical landing.

First F-35C CV Catapult Testing
On July 27, Carrier Variant (CV) aircraft CF-3 participated in land based steam catapult testing at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, New Jersey. The catapult operations will continue through August before moving into a week of Jet Blast deflector testing.
