IERUS and Lockheed Martin Partner to Deliver High Quality Threat Relevant Target Capability to MDA
IERUS Technologies, Inc. (IERUS), a certified HUBZone small business, has a strong partnership working with Lockheed Martin in the space and missile defense markets supporting the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Targets and Countermeasures Program. Through this partnership, IERUS and Lockheed Martin are delivering a high-quality, threat-relevant target capability to the MDA through a rigorous design and analysis process.
IERUS Technologies specializes in physics-based modeling, design and test across the electromagnetic spectrum with core competencies ranging from electro- and magneto-statics to the visible regime to include capabilities with analysis, components, and subsystems in radio frequency, millimeter wave and terahertz. IERUS Technologies’ history with Lockheed Martin began in 2010 with a sponsorship letter for a facility clearance and now is in a formal mentor protégé relationship.
“Through the years Lockheed Martin has been encouraging us to be product oriented and develop our niche capabilities in design, analysis and test in the RF spectrum helping deliver high quality cost effective targets for the BMDS system,” says Michael Roesch, IERUS Technologies executive vice president. “Our Mentor-Protégé relationship is just another example of our ability to work together for the good of our customer.”
“IERUS Technologies was founded with the core intent of enabling transition of cutting edge research to our warfighters, leveraging our dedicated and highly technical staff.” says Roesch. IERUS Technologies differentiates itself through maintaining its capabilities at the cutting edge of radio frequency and EOIR technologies.
“IERUS is not only a user of software tools and codes for analysis and design, we are developers,” adds Roesch. IERUS Technologies released its commercial computational electromagnetics code V-Lox in January 2013. V-Lox utilizes the latest in software- and hardware-based acceleration techniques, resulting in software that can run extremely large problems in a very time efficient manner.
