Andrés is a Senior Investment Analyst at Lockheed Martin Ventures, supporting investments in various technology areas such as high-performance computing, power and propulsion, machine learning and artificial intelligence, and advanced manufacturing. Prior to joining the team, Andrés accumulated experience as a Systems Engineer in a variety of groups and projects such as Mission Systems, Electronic Warfare, Operations Analysis, and Quantum Communications. Before making the transition to systems engineering, he worked as an Propulsion Design Engineer and a Test Engineer for both airframes and hall-effect thrusters. He also participated in and graduated from Lockheed Martin’s Engineering Leadership Development Program.

Andrés holds a Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a Master's in Systems Engineering from Cornell University with a focus in Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence systems. Committed to fostering STEM education, he also actively mentors students and professionals, promoting innovation and leadership in the field.
