Pushing Boundaries: F-35s Aboard HMS Prince of Wales

F-35 operations are underway aboard the United Kingdom’s newest aircraft carrier. The flight trials aboard HMS Prince of Wales continue to broaden the scope of F-35B capabilities and allied naval aviation.

Among other firsts, an F-35B completed a nighttime shipborne rolling vertical landing on the Royal Navy ship, which also launched a fully-loaded F-35B. Lessons learned from these tests will be used to boost the capabilities of the U.K., NATO, and other F-35 operators around the world.
